biography

scott mccall was always a ray of sunlight in the darkest of times. he was the only happiness in a household where his parents constantly fought, where his mother cried, where his father drank. he was good, he was hopeful. one day, when he was five, his father pushed him down the stairs. it was all an accident, and he wasn’t hurt - but the asthma attack that nearly killed him afterwards was enough cause for his mother to kick his father out. he was angry, confused, hurt - he didn’t understand why rafael had left them. when he started kindergarten, he met a skinny kid with a crooked smile. stiles, he called himself. scott decided that very moment that this kid would be his best friend. or, really, he let himself be dragged along. they were inseparable, two little outsiders in their small town school. life was good, life was easy, life was normal. that is, until freshman year. stiles drags him into the woods to find a dead body, and all it takes is a few wrong choices for scott to find himself attacked by a wolf. within a few days, his fangs and yellow eyes are enough to let him know just what’s become of him. life is a blur from then on out - falling in love for the first time, nearly dying too many times to count, watching his best friend wither into nothing only to find out it wasn’t his best friend all along, watching his first love die. spun around and around, he finds himself changed. less hopeful, more determined. the world will be a good place, and it doesn’t matter if scott has to carry it on his shoulders to see it through. he’d sacrifice himself time and time again just to make sure everyone else survived.
